Changing District Password

This article will explain the steps needed to change your active directory password for both Mac, and Windows.


*You will need a computer or iPad that is connected to the internet*

  1. Open a web browser (Google Chrome, Firefox, etc...)
  2. Type: in the address bar
  3. Enter your district username (first.lastname)
  4. Enter your old password
    • If you don't know your password, contact your tech para, or call 763-745-5100 to have it changed to a temporary password
  5. You will receive a message that states "Your password has expired..."
  6. Click on the link to change your password
  7. Create a new password and enter it in both fields
  8. Click Next
  9. Your password has been successfully changed


*NOTE: If you are not on the district network,  you will need to continue logging into your computer with your old password until you are back on campus.


On District Network (Mac):

  1. Restart your computer
  2. Enter your old password
    • This is the FileVault login screen
  3. Enter your username
  4. Enter your new password
  5. Click Create New Keychain

On District Network (Windows):

  1. Restart your computer
  2. Enter your new password
